                      Makara Sankranti or Sankramana is a regional, seasonal festival of Karnataka. The festival of worshipping Sun God to mark the first day of the sun’s transit into Makara rashi. Thisnperiod marks the end of Winter and onset of Summer season.

Ellu Bella/Til Gul/Seasame with Jaggery is the special Prasadam offered & exchanged on the day of Sankranti i.e, 14th Jan of every year.
